NLM “Stock” WRX
NLM Will begin to feature customer builds as well as shop cars to show new setups and awesome rides. Cars from street cars to show cars all the way to race cars will have a spotlight at NLM. We will begin with the shops 2015 WRX. The new style wrx has been introduced with a new motor, the FA20DIT; it’s similar to the BRZ/FRS motor but direct injected as well as flaunting a twin-scroll garrett turbo. The new VA-Chassis WRX also boasts a new 6-Speed transmission rather than the older 5-speed drivetrain on older models which has shown to be stronger than the 5-speeds but not quite the STI 6-speed. These cars and motors have proved worthiness for great cost-effective power compared to the EJ and have made significant gains over the 4 years on the market. For those wanting 300-500whp daily, the FA wrx is your go to car, anything more would be pushing the limit and the EJ becomes the better option. As the market slowly catches up to the demands of higher performance, the records have been shattered time and time again. The “StockWRX” has been through many ups and down in the quest for high power and has proven itself as a world record power holder at 609WHP and 551TQ. The power might not seem as great as compared to the EJ, but you have to remember the FA platform has no fueling upgrades, meaning this power was made on stock injectors, as well as stock heads and drivetrain. That power record has been reset by a close friend since the StockWRX is under a re-build, but is planning to come out with nearing 700WHP and the aim for a 9 second 1/4 mile pass!
