Designed specifically for the street enthusiast, the Kelford 179-A series cams provide a significant improvement in horsepower and torque when compared to stock TSX (K24A2) cams, and are designed to use the OEM valvetrain without any upgrades. The primary and intermediate lobes are fractionally larger than the TSX and the main lobe features more area for increased mid-range and top-end performance. Gains of 30+ WHP have been achieved with good quality bolt on parts.

The 179-A lobe geometry requires less valve spring pressure to control the intake and exhaust valves than the stock cams. This means you can rev the 179-A higher than the stock TSX cams without inducing performance-robbing valve float and the more forgiving geometry promotes valve train longevity so you can enjoy the added performance for many miles down the road.

Skunk2’s New Intake Manifold for the 06+ Honda Civic Si

Skunk2 is proud to introduce its Pro Series Intake Manifold for Honda’s ’06-’10 Civic Si in its signature Black Series finish. Similar to Skunk2’s already popular K-series Intake Manifolds, Skunk2’s engineers looked to the popular ’06-’10 Civic Si’s RBC intake manifold for inspiration and went back to the drawing board.

Each of Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifolds for Honda’s K-series engines feature larger plenums and shorter, oversized runners when compared to the RBC, and are cast with thicker wall material, leaving room for further porting for high-horsepower applications. Instead of producing a manifold with a significantly oversized plenum and excessively short runners that would sacrifice mid-range power, Pro Series manifolds were designed for the “street enthusiast” who wants more power but doesn’t want to sacrifice mid-range performance to get it. The results are improved airflow, an enhanced venturi effect, and both mid-range and top-end power gains.

Skunk2’s all-new, cast-aluminum Pro Series Intake Manifolds for Honda’s Civic Si is a direct-fit replacement thanks to their unique throttle body flanges, which are compatible with OEM throttle bodies as well as those as large as 76mm. Pro Series manifolds incorporate an angled-runner design, which allows for additional clearance and include a thermal-insulated gasket for reduced intake air temperatures.

Pro Series Intake Manifolds offer horsepower and torque gains greater than the popular RBC manifold but without compromising mid-range power output. The design incorporates runners that are similar in length to the RBC’s but with larger bores, a special tapered design, as well as a larger, tapered plenum that together preserve mid-range power but increase and accelerate airflow to allow for significant top-end power gains. Pro Series Intake Manifold runner exits are also machined and hand-finished to best match the cylinder head’s ports. Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifold’s shape and design also increases wave scavenging effects at the engine’s ideal operating range, which allow for a broad increase in usable power.

Similar to OEM manifolds, Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifolds are shell-molded from 356-aluminum, CNC-machined for superior strength, a precise fit, and a high-quality finish, and vacuum-tested for quality. Each manifold is molded with smooth transitions from the throttle body opening to the plenum to the runners with clean parting lines for an optimal finish, both inside and out and features a genuine Skunk2 nameplate.

Skunk2’s All New MegaPower Header for the 02-06 RSX, 02-05 Civic Si

“Skunk2 is proud to introduce its MegaPower Header for the ’02-’06 RSX and ’02-’05 Civic Si. Skunk2 has been designing custom headers for its drag racing, road racing, and endurance cars for years, and is now offering this same technology to consumers. Skunk2’s engineers wanted to offer the same custom racing headers they use on the company’s own cars to enthusiasts at a good value, but without compromising quality. The process has taken years, but thanks to cutting-edge design, manufacturing technology, and craftsmanship, Skunk2’s produced the finest production header available. Similar MegaPower Headers power each of the championship-winning, Compass 360 Racing Grand-Am Cup Hondas and Acuras. In a class where competitors are not allowed to modify intakes and throttle bodies, the header and exhaust system become the keys to finding additional power.

Skunk2’s MegaPower Header is designed and engineered to maximize exhaust flow and increase both horsepower and torque throughout the powerband. The unique design is the result of more than a decade of racing experience coupled with computerized modeling and extensive dyno testing. Each Skunk2 MegaPower Header features equal-length, sequentially paired, stepped primaries and a 4-2-1 tri-Y design that terminates into a collector with a 2.5-inch outlet. These features, paired with Skunk2’s unique design specs, provide an extremely broad powerband that’s applicable to a wide range of engine sizes and configurations. MegaPower Headers also feature the smallest possible primary tubes required to achieve optimum overall and peak power. By minimizing the primary tubes’ diameter, Skunk2 is able to maintain the highest possible exhaust gas speed throughout the header, which improves mid-range power and throttle response significantly. Skunk2’s MegaPower Header provides the perfect combination of top-end power without sacrificing mid-range power or throttle response.
