The Best Car Movies You Need to Watch While You’re Home Sick This Month
Cold season is upon us. Every year after New Years, everyone’s newsfeeds are filled with complaints about how everyone is coughing, sneezing, and overall super sick. Here are some car movies to watch while you’re sick at home surrounded by tissues while you attempt breathe through your nose for the next week and a half.
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
This one is a given, but that’s because the originals are the best. No matter how many times you watch this movie, it’ll never get old. Sit back and try to imagine the summer time when car season is in full swing and you’re cruising around with your friends…not sitting at home freezing under your covers.
Talladega Nights (2006)
It’s come to my attention that there are a lot of people who haven’t seen this movie. It’s a classic. If you’re sick or not, you need to watch it. Seriously. Will Ferrell is hysterical, and some NASCAR drivers make appearances, with some race scenes in between it all. You won’t regret it.
Death Race (2008)
This movie is a little violent, but it’s about a warden of a prison who forces inmates to compete in a race that requires them to off one another to win. Their cars are loaded with weapons and explosives, and the winner of this race gets their freedom. The rest get… well, you know.
The Transporter (2002)
This movie isn’t really about racing, but it’s about a driver for hire, who will deliver anything, anywhere, with no questions asked. There are three sequels, so you know this has to be an action packed movie that did it right several times in a row.
Gone in 60 Seconds (2000)
Instead of treasure hunting, Nicholas Cage spends his time as a car thief, required to steal 50 luxury vehicles in a single night to save his brother’s life. You’ll find scenes filled with Lambos, Ferraris, Mustangs, and more. Plus a young, blonde Angelina Jolie is one of the main characters next to Cage.
Cars (2006)
Disney and Pixar. Need I say more? This movie is great, no matter how old you are.
TT3D: Closer to the Edge (2011)
You’ve probably never heard of this one. Closer to the Edge is a British documentary about adrenaline addicted bikers at the Isle of Man’s famously deadly TT motorcycle race. It’s a lot different than the other movies mentioned, which is why it’s on our list. This documentary is great for anyone who loves going fast.
