Mike Lohmann’s 2007 WRX TR

This week, we have our eye on Mike Lohmann’s 2007 WRX TR. “TR” for those that are unfamiliar stands for “Tuner Ready” which Mike has certainly taken advantage of. Mike is a long time customer, supporter, and team member of No Limit Motorsport. Mike’s car is one of the best around, and is immaculate from the inside out. And he built it all himself 🙂 

We love Mike’s car because it’s not only mean looking on the outside, but even meaner on the inside. Just a few of his modifications include an IAG stage 2.5 closed deck short block, IAG TGV deletes, AOS, and fuel rails, fully built and ported heads by Dave at HeadGames (all head games services are available through NLM), Blouche 1.5xtr turbo 3″, Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors and line kit, Perrin FMIC and catback exhaust, Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator, Tial EWG, Grimmspeed Up pipe, ARP Studs, and ETS equal length headers. To bring everything together, Mike’s car has a custom tune using a Cobb Accessport, tuned by one of Long Island’s most trusted Subaru tuners Dave Brown.

With his hefty engine mod list comes awesome handling and a sturdy transmission. Equipped with an 07 STi 6 speed transmission, Exedy twin disk clutch, Kartboy STS and all shifter bushings, and ST coilovers, Mike’s car handles as well as it sounds and performs.

Exterior components include a little bit of everything, making Mike’s ride alluring while still keeping it simple. A sleek set of Varrstoens, a shaved trunk, factory fog lights, color matched skirts, mirrors and lip, Grillcraft inserts, an 07 roof spoiler, Seibon carbon fiber hood, baked and painted headlights, and 05 tinted taillights are what make Mike’s car appear different than the other 1,000 WRX on the road without being too flashy and in your face. And if you’ve never owned a black car, it’s hard to keep it looking this good all the time.

Mike gives a special thanks to No Limit Motorsport and Dave Brown at PAS for all their help in creating this masterpiece of a car. If you have a chance to see Mike’s car in person, you’ll see that pictures really don’t do it justice. It looks, sounds, and performs amazingly. This WRX has a little (or a lot, really) of everything which is what makes it so awesome. Mike has spent countless hours on this car, and the dedication really shines!
